I just love my friends’ and classmates’ amazing stories and photos from India! The people and characters they met, they learned about Ayurveda (the ancient Indian Holistic health and medicine),and really soaked in India’s unmatched beautiful culture, they went during winter break while the rest of us are going this spring break. (we are all in one class but going to different countries) The world is filled w/ so many differences and it amazes me every time. I love that not only do we learn about global topics, environmental issues, solutions, projects being done, but we learn about travel and culture, as well!
I wish I could remember where I saw this so I could credit it. This would be my lair, if I had one.

This is about saving a girl’s life. Kahlia Wilson goes to my school and is in year 12. She got cancer in her pelvis when she was only 13 years old, and after beating it once it has come back in her chest. Regular medicine is not an option anymore and she needs to travel to Perth for radical cancer treatment. This treatment will cost her family $30,000, money they just don’t have.

Haha. Not all vegans think they are better than you, they are not doing it for anyone or to impress/please anyone but instead they are doing it for their health, for a good cause, for a healthier community, and its a sustainable, eco-friendly lifestyle to help the environment, our planet, and all living things. Acting/feeling superior or being pompous really depends on individuals. Most vegans genuinely care. Some probably even do it only because its a trend, etc. but oh well…at least they are still taking part in healing this dying planet. In a great sense, vegans are “better” than some of us who choose to be indifferent about the world’s suffering and not thinking about the future generations of this Planet. Vegans are compassionate. Don’t judge them before you know all the facts. And for straightedge, well if having no vices allows you to have more control of your life then it does make it “better” for themselves and people around them. As for feminists who stand up for what they believe in and are fighting for gender equality, yes they are “better” because unlike others, they are not afraid to break barriers and are not prisoners of their own mind. “Women should cook and clean only” Uh no. People who have compassion, support growth and positivity are yes, “better than you” ;)
