1. I just love my friends’ and classmates’ amazing stories and photos from India! The people and characters they met, they learned about Ayurveda (the ancient Indian Holistic health and medicine),and  really soaked in India’s unmatched beautiful culture, they went during winter break while the rest of us are going this spring break. (we are all in one class but going to different countries) The world is filled w/ so many differences and it amazes me every time. I love that not only do we learn about global topics, environmental issues, solutions, projects being done, but we learn about travel and culture, as well!

I wish I could remember where I saw this so I could credit it. This would be my lair, if I had one.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is 63 years old today! December 10, 2011
Celebrate by taking action: send a letter or two (or ten) on behalf of prisoners of conscience as part of Amnesty International’s Global Write-A-Thon! Sample letters are available to make it ridiculously easy for you and your friends to promote and defend human rights.
Happy Human Rights Day!
(Much like I said last year.)

STOP SCROLLING. This is about saving a girl’s life. Kahlia Wilson goes to my school and is in year 12. She got cancer in her pelvis when she was only 13 years old, and after beating it once it has come back in her chest. Regular medicine is not an option anymore and she needs to travel to Perth for radical cancer treatment. This treatment will cost her family $30,000, money they just don’t have.  PLEASE donate at www.curekahlia.com If you can’t donate, reblog this, or forward this to people on Facebook, and Twitter. To watch the full story, click here
Being a cancer survivor, this means a lot to me, but I’m broke as shit. So those of you who can afford to, PLEASE DONATE!

Reblogging for anyone who might be able to help.

    4) The ocean + a father’s boy = part of the year. = ________.

    5) Another name for dad + a yellow veggie = a white fluffy snack = ________.

Reblog your answers. I will post the answers later on.

  9. "Food, Inc" is one very interesting film about our modern food system. Its very important for all of us watch it. It reveals to its viewers the naked truth about our food and most people will be very surprised at what they will come to find. This film needs to be broadcasted nationwide, worldwide. Do you know where your food really comes from? Watch it here

  10. "A dog has no use for fancy cars or big homes or designer clothes. Status symbol means nothing to him. A waterlogged stick will do just fine. A dog judges others not by their color or creed or class but by who they are inside. A dog doesn’t care if you are rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his. It was really quite simple, and yet we humans, so much wiser and more sophisticated, have always had trouble figuring out what really counts and what does not. As I wrote that farewell column to Marley, I realized it was all right there in front of us, if only we opened our eyes. Sometimes it took a dog with bad breath, worse manners, and pure intentions to help us see."
